Late period / negative tests ?

Has anybody been late on their period, but done tests that were negative ?? But then maybe found out a little later that they are actually pregnant?

Pistol how late are you and when did you test?

4 days late now, last test was last night - still negative

Surely if preg, a positive would show up by now wouldn't it? x

I left mine a week before I tested, honestly I know how frustrating it is but wait a few more days and test again. The cheap tests from tesco work just as good as the clear blues as well just a little tip to save you spending a fortune also, are you testing with your first pee of the day

With my other 4 pregnancies (my 2 boys and 2 Miscarriages) my tests have always shown up even before I've missed period

I'm not actively trying to get pregnant but feel like I'm going to be really disappointed about getting my period now and not being ?

So did yours only show pos after a week? Did you test the day you were due too?

I tested first thing in the morning (I was dying for a wee at 5am so half asleep peed in a cup and dipped) but dh and I were trying. I learnt my lesson by not testing the day after I was due as I didn't want to get disappointed as I had done previously. The result when I got my bfp was really quick on the stick, admittedly not that strong a line, quite faint but it was there.

I was 7 days late before I got my bfp.
2 and 4 days late showed up negative... even tho good old clear blue told me I was 2 to 3 weeks at 7 days late :)

Got lots of negatives on the Internet cheapies then a possitive on a first responce test. What are you using?

Just got my positive yesterday after being a week late but with 4 negatives before then! Try 1st of the day and dipping. Fingers crossed!

I honestly just smiled in hope reading the last few replies Aaagghhhh I know I shouldn't, but I'm secretly hoping I am pg now

CakePunch I tested with those cheap Asda drip stick tests and then a chemists cheap pee stick one, but I've always sworn by the cheapo ones! They confirmed I was having my boys x

Not to get your hopes up but yep it happened to me, tested two weeks after period was due with a 1st reponse test and it came back negative. Went away on an extended holiday, came back, tested positive and blood tests and scan showed I was eight weeks with very high HCG levels, so the test must have been duff. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this is what is happening to you too

I've done 7 tests now (!), 4 last week (as I was getting sore nipples), and the 3 yesterday at 3 days late, all negatives Strange, I never miss periods for other than pregnancy, and if I am pg, I will be petrified as the last 2 ended early in a missed mc and a complete one x
