DD1 is still having a bottle in the morning and is 22 months. she really cried this morning when we offered her milk in a cup. would ideally like her to be off the bottle when DD2 arrives in May. the dr browns bottles we have are starting to look a bit misty & old now though... I planned on buying new treats but for the price of the bottles I'd rather not buy all new for DD2. would you just use the old ones? I guess if they're sterile it won't be a problem???

I'd buy new. Don't know why though, although now it would largely be because we got rid of all DD's when she was about 1.

Buy new!

HalfPintPickle · 19/01/2014 10:21

We don't need much new this time round (preggers with DC2) so will be getting new bottles and a few nice blankets etc as we're not splurging on a new cot, pram etc etc. just my personal preference I guess though.

MrsRV · 19/01/2014 12:37

oh bugger. they are just so bloomin expensive! I guess I could use the little ones we have as DD1 didn't use those for very long.

Use the old ones. You sterilise them. Doesn't matter who used them before. It would be bonkers to buy new ones.

Orangeisthenewbanana · 19/01/2014 13:21

Can you just buy new teats but keep the old bottles?

superram · 19/01/2014 13:22

I didn't buy new ones, 3 year age gap too, and they were tinged orange from the dishwasher.

MrsRV · 19/01/2014 13:56

oh superram that's made me feel better. will buy new teats & just use old bottles! hurrah.

will treat myself to a perfect prep machine instead :-)

Peacenquiet2 · 19/01/2014 20:44

ClearlyMoo · 19/01/2014 22:40

I have second hand ones from friend who has DDs ages 1+3, they will be sterilised!
