to have blood stained discharge from your breasts during pregnancy? I'm 31 weeks pregnant with my first baby and been getting this for the last couple of weeks. It only happens during the night and it's only a small amount, maybe a teaspoon full. I was just wondering if it is normal and whether anyone else has experienced the same? I got Midwife on Tuesday so I will mention it then.

Its common to start leaking colostrum during pregnancy, but not with blood in it as far as as I'm aware - I'd go to your GP about it. Would suggest using a breast pad and taking it along to show them as you say its only happening over night. Hope all turns out ok :)

Is it blood stained or is it an orangy colour? I've been getting the orange stuff (sometimes luminous orange!) and apparently that is normal. A bit odd though!

I would say it's definitely a blood stained colour rather than an orangey colour! I'm going shopping in a minute so i'll pick up some breast pads to take with me on Tuesday. Thank you for your advise, it is very odd. x
