Royal Bolton Hospital: Breech baby

I've literally been on the phone, unsuccessfully, trying to get through to the Antenatal clinic and my battery died. Tears!

I'm moving to the area from St Albans and my baby is in a breech position so I wanted to know if they deliver breech babies vaginally or whether they insist on an ELCS.

I'm only 31 weeks pregnant so I know she has time to turn but my MW has reassured me that if she doesn't turn, they'll be someone on hand to deliver her breech. I'll be moving around 36 weeks (to my horror!) so I definitely know that I'm cutting it very close here.

Does anyone have any idea whether they do? I'm avoiding a csection at all costs due to fear of surgery.

Hello, Boltonite here! Dunno anything about them yet cos v early on but everything on their website has emphasis on "natural as poss" so you might be ok.

Sorry I can't answer the specific question, but I can say that with DS (not breech, just trying hard to stay inside) they did literally everything in their power to help me have a vaginal birth and were very open about this.

Thank you both! I'll push for a vaginal delivery if she stays breech and it's safe to do so.
