Night hunger ?

Is this a thing? It's 4.30am and I am awake and RAVENOUS? I've wee-ed twice and had some water. (Yes I realise the link) but I'm staaarrrvving. Should I give in to it? I'm SO tired and not sure I can be bothered to raid kitchen as there's nothing I fancy.

Is this a normal pregnancy thing? I'm 24 weeks tomorrow and had a proper blood sugar "wobble" after Aquanatal last night so drank my emergency lucozade. Has this caused the hunger?

I've had some 6.30am snacks lately but as I'm often up for work at this time (3-4 days a week I assumed it was just my body wanting breakfast).

All advice/ anecdotes welcome!

I always raid the fridge in the middle of the night 24+2 here. Sausage sarnie with lashings of ketchup at 3 am. Mmmmm.

There's nothing worse than trying to sleep on an empty stomach IMO.

Go on, give in. I'm up. I woke at 4ish really uncomfortable so I went for a wee but couldn't drop off again. My right hip/leg is really aching. So I got up and had some paracetamol. I'm hungry too so might make some toast in a minute.

Peanut butter on rice cakes x 2, some little choccies and a glass of ginger beer. I've now been awake 1.5+hrs. Think I could actually sleep now! Here's hoping!!

MummyPig Toast would be lovely thanks. Grin

I've been up for the past hour listening to Dd snoringto the rain. I haven't mustered up the energy to get some breakfast yet.

MMM Nutella on toast.

Dh has a day off for a job interview today so he's taking the kids to school and I've got a gp appointment followed by coffee with friends. Then dd has a party after school at 12.30, then pick up ds and we are hopefully buying a pram. Going to look at it anyway.
