Trace protein in wee

Hi all, I was wondering if it is common to have traces of protein in ones urine while suffering from thrush? I have read into what having protein in urine means and it has worried me a little so I'm hoping that it is the result of having thrush and not a weak umbilical cord. Any advice would be very appreciated.

I've had trace protein in my urine. The midwife was bothered at all and just said drink more, but that was just my experience.

...sorry....'wasn't bothered'....

Same happened to me - traces of protein in urine at my 16 week midwife appointment. She asked if I'd had any abdominal pain or discomfort and when I said no she said just make sure I drink plenty of water. Had my 25 week appointment yesterday and it urine was fine again.

36 week check it was clear again

I am a bit lax on the water intake - will up the daily dosage. Thanks ladies.

Yep same here, but my test result was negative. Also, I think it could be to do with the stick that I we'd on was my first wee of the day too, so probably VERY concentrated.

its generally due to mild uti but also can happen if you wee straight into pot; i had traces a couple of times but as soon as i realised mid stream whoosh they were gone (and apparently im reading too much "room on the broom").

Wipe before you wee. This is my tip of the day.
