No need. They will believe you!

I think they'll test the urine sample for you. No need to take the test. Could be anyone's I suppose! Wink

No it's likely they may ask u to do sample and send it away!!

Congratulations x

Your pregnancy test? No, they won't want to see it. They will just give you details to register with the midwife, give you a list of things you should/shouldn't do or eat and thats about it. Don't be surprised if the GP is a bit dismissive and uninterested, they don't often have much to do with the pregnancy side of things any more so not much for them to do.

No, they will believe you Grin

When we went to the docs she was as Pascha said pretty uninterested - DH had assumed she would verify the pregnancy for him us but she didn't, just referred to MW. Eventually when we went for dating scan as soon as he saw DD on the screen he went "OH MY GOD Shock - it transpired he'd not actually been convinced I was really PG despite massive sore boobs and morning sickness Smile

When I got bfp with dd2, I just had to make an appointment with the mw, rather than the gp. But that could be because it was my second pg.

Congratulations btw.

I am going to disagree with everyone and recommend that you take it.

I got a BFP the day before my period was due and went to the doctor the next day. I asked him to test as I had taken a urine sample (he wouldn't have bothered otherwise) and got two false negatives with the cheap dip strips that they used. He wouldn't entertain the idea that my urine might be too dilute as it was the afternoon and sent me away saying, 'don't worry, I'm sure you'll get pregnant soon'. I got another BFP back home with a superdrug test and ended up having a blood test at the surgery to convince the doctor that I wasn't a madwoman and that I was in fact pregnant.

Congratulations!

I was put straight to a midwife to - 1st pregnancy - the reception weren't particularly helpful and just asked when my LNP was and booked me in.
