Quick question about avent bottle sterilizer

Ive got avent microwaveable sterizer and I'm slightly confused. It fits 4 bottles and instructions says stays sterile for 24 hours as long as lid is not opened.

Now seeing as u can only use one bottle at a time the minute you open the main lid does that mean the other bottles can't be used??

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but my baby is 2 days old and I want to be doing everything right xx

You can leave bottles in the sealed steriliser and they will be fine for 24 hours.

If you take all the bottles out and assemble them with lid on etc (make sure to use to the tongs for the teat!) then you can use the bottles within 12 hours without needing to sterilise again. That's what I was told anyway. With a 2 day old you will definitely be using 4+ bottles within that period!

Congratulations Thanks

We did it that we'd sterilise 3 or 4 bottles at a time, then when we needed one we'd open the steriliser, put all the bottles together (with lids on over teats) and then use one bottle at a time within the 24 hour period.

Ps there are slots on the side of the inside ring for you to slip the lids onto. Didn't realise that for about 6 weeks! Blush

Thankyou so much, no where on my instructions did it say about it's fine for 12 hours xx

Whatever you do, make sure you put water in it.

In my sleep deprived brain addled state, I put it in microwave without water and ruined the bottles.
