I had this, without the fall. Just contractions and dilating at 32 weeks with a positive fibronectin test. I then had the steroids. I know this is hard to do but try not to worry. You're in the best place and a lot of women don't go into labour even with the positive fibronectin test. If your baby does come, 32 weeks is a good gestation and the steroids will make a huge difference. They will probably get a pediatrician to speak to you about what you can expect with a baby born now and possibly give you a tour of the nicu. I ended up making it to 38 weeks and DS was born last week so it's all fresh in my memory if you have any questions. Does the ctg show you're contracting regularly? Are you dilating?

And just to reassure you. Obviously nothing is guaranteed but babies born at 32 weeks have pretty much the same long term outcomes as term babies. If you get the steroids before birth, major breathing problems are unlikely. What is still a concern at this point is that baby wouldn't be able to feed yet as the suckling reflex only develops at 34/35 week and temperature control would be poor but I think you'll notice that the doctors will not really be concerned about a preemie born at 32 weeks.
