Pain when I poop...

Sorry this is tmi but I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this. Whenever I go for a number 2 whether it's a hard or soft stool doesn't matter, I get a pain deep in my bum that really really hurts! I have to stop pushing as it's so painful sometimes. I have no idea if it's a nerve or what but it does concern me a little.

I am 40 weeks so worried that during childbirth I will also feel that pain again as you can poo yourself during birth. I have only had this pain since being pregnant.

Anyone else had/having this?

I'm getting pain but it's round the outside rather than deep inside. Things like piles are apparently quite common in pregnancy so though it's a PITA (sorry) I'm just going along with it. Am 37 weeks so hopefully not too much longer to go.

Have you mentioned to your MW? I suspect that during childbirth you will have other pains to worry about and you might not even notice that one, but just in case it's indicative of something wrong with your bowel it is probably worth bringing up.
