Hi ladies
I've very recently found out that I'm pregnant (last Friday!). I was on cerazette pill so it came as a bit of a (good) surprise. While on the pill I didn't have periods so I have no idea how pregnant I am!?
I'm trying to get a doctors appointment for this week, will they give me an early scan to determine how far along I am? Is there any other way of telling?
Any advice greatly received.
Thank you
BurnsieB

I think a scan is the only way to tell for certain. My friend payed £65 for a private scan and got an appointment the same day. She found out she was 12 weeks but hadn't given it much thought due to breastfeeding DC4. Good luck!

I dont think a regular GP will be able to tell- you'd need an ultrasound (so like bugover has said, a private scan) to determine the gestation/size of the baby. CONGRATS!!

Your GP will most likely refer you for an early scan to determine how far along you are. (Though it won't be as quick as a private one - I saw my doctor last week and still waiting for my appointment letter...)
