39 weeks and found lump on breast

Hi I'm just coming up on 39 weeks and I have felt a small lump (probably half the size of a 5p) on my left breast about 2 inches above my nipple.

Any ideas? Was hoping it would be a clogged milk duct or something.

Sorry - just realised that could be misinterpreted given the subject matter. I was just bumping while waiting for someone a bit more knowledgeable to come along. :)

I I'm guessing that as your milk hasn't come in, it is unlikely v to be blocked ducts. Is it hot or sore?

I only know about cysts, which I get lots of, and I think they can be quite hormonally driven, so perhaps that? but it's really easy to get checked out, so pop into gps and they can refer you to the breast clinic. If you're like me, it'll be gone by the time you're seen.

Whiteshoes, it isn't hot or sore or red. I tend to get quite a few cysts too and I don't think this is one. I was hoking and poking at my boobs yesterday morning before I was getting into the shower so wondering if I have done something to irritate it. It wasn't there yesterday morning!!

I can provoke a cyst with a good sharp jab I think.

Get it checked for your peace of mind, butI'm sure it'll be fine. Something hormonal or injury related if you're poking them!

i have had this and got it checked out at the breast clinic. the dr knew what it was straight away. a cyst on a milk gland. very common apparently. don't worry. its worth going to your dr still as every lump should be checked but its seriously very common and nothing to worry about.

I've been and got checked and it's actually went down quite a bit in size so been told not to worry! Thanks everyone
