If you had a 'show', how long after did labour start?

Especially interested in subsequent pregancies ( ie not your first).

I've just had a pretty large show... 3rd pregnancy... Keen to speculate on how imminent labour is! Humour me, please!

3rd pregnancy got up to go to the toilet at 4am realised I'd had my show and then promptly had a contraction. Ds2 born 5 hours later.

That's the kinda thing i want to hear ... 5 hours from now- i'd take that!

Had contractions immediately after the show. Fairly long labour but baby born 36 hrs later

Both times I was already well into labour before I got mine. About 56 hours the first time and about 30 the second time. We'll ignore DS1 as that went on for another 28 hours a while afterwards, and concentrate on the six hour gap with DS2

With 1st and 2nd i had no 'show' before the labour started in earnest...so this is new for me....

Trying to remember first 2. Dd I was in the hospital and in labour when it happened. Ds1 again must have been in hospital in labour can't really remember but definitely didn't happen at home.
So although the third was different definitely didn't have a big gap between show and labour.

Thanks... But still nothing happening. I really fancied today's date as it's d.o.b. too! Ah well, back to drumming fingers!

If it helps I had convinced myself that he wasn't arriving anytime soon and made dh open a beer so I could have some and huffily bounced about on my birthing ball.
