When did stretch marks show?

Hi all ,

I'm 31 weeks tomorrow, and (thankfully) no stretch marks yet- and I still feel like I have a little more room to grow within my skin! For those of you who got stretch marks when did they appear? I don't want to celebrate just yet!! :-)

I didn't get it all over the period, just because I took care a lot. Actually I took the full benefits of using pregnancy stretch mark cream and I am lucky that I won't be a part of it. mine appeared after i gave birth. i smugly thought i'd got away with it, and was religious with the oils, but when my stomach started to contract after birth - BINGO concentric circles of stretch marks. they're all gone now tho - approx 3 years later.

3 days before she was born! If she didn't go over due I might of got away with it!

First pregnancy, got a few on my sides around 34 weeks then completely faded after I had her. This time, I'm now 38 weeks and had none whatsoever and in the space of this week, I've got them on my
Back, sides and up my belly :( hope they fade this time too..

About 39-40 weeks with DD (she was born 40+10), just around my belly button. They had faded, but are more noticeable now (34 weeks). No new ones as far as I am aware - yet!!

It is partly genetic though.

So for those who did get stretch marks - did you know you were prone to getting them? I have puberty stretch marks on my bum and hips (they are barely visible now, but still there at thirty years old, so I think I'm stuck with them...). Does that mean I'm likely to get them in pregnancy? I'm not even pregnant yet, by the way, but hey, why not give myself something to worry about...
