hi, I have to have a growth scan and am 35 weeks, was wondering whether I need to drink water prior to the scan ir whether the baby is big enough (hopefully) that it is unnecessary. Thanks

I was told only need to drink water for the 12 week scan and not after that. Had a number of growth scans and didn't drink water and there was no issue getting the measurements.

I've got my growth scan this afternoon (eeek!) also 35 weeks. I haven't been told to drink anything. The baby will be so big now that they can easily see it. Good luck!

You won't need to Smile

Usually it's for late first trimester scans only, or occasionally if they do an abdominal measurement of your cervical length at your anatomy scan it can make things a little easier.

I didn't need to :)

I have been told not to drink before any of my scans even the 8 week one Smile
