DP and I have been TTC for over 2 years. We booked amd have begun planning our wedding and feel we could just go ahead as planned despite it being possibly less than 2 months after DC1's arrival.

Any thoughts, advice or experience to share would be very much welcomed.

I wouldn't have wanted to, simply because there's a good chance you will be sleep deprived, still carrying baby weight, and possibly still bleeding, particularly if you go overdue. It depends really on how concerned you are about these things, I would have looked awful on my photos though (DS's christening was when he was 3 months, it was suitcases under my eyes rather than bags Grin )

If you're not bothered about how the pics look then it should be manageable. I'd leave it longer though personally.

Depends.

Will it be just about the legal marriage ceremony, or do you want a big "wedding" wedding as well?

If it's the latter- I wouldn't dream of it tbh. I attended a wedding when DD1 was 8 weeks. That was plenty!

I couldn't have, but I was very unlucky with postpartum complications. I would advise you to make your decisions based on the youngest that your baby could be, if s/he were to be born at 42 weeks.

Do you plan to bf? If so you'll need to consider what to wear so that you can feed!

I do remember feeling noticeably more myself around the six-week mark.

Thanks for all your replies. I would have worried about what I looked like in the pics anyway as I have little confidence about my appearance. Atleast I can put my "look" down to having just had a baby.
Also I feel that if we out the wedding off (again) then something goes wrong woth this pregnancy I will reallu regret not going ahead. DP suggested we have a naming ceremony the following day to make relatives from far away's journeys all the more worth while.
frumious I'm counting on feeling better at the six week mark and yes I am planning on breastfeeding so will be planning my dress/outfit around baby and likely baby weight.
It's going to be a busy year! =)
