I don't feel 'right'. I'm nearly 38 weeks pregnant with ds2 and I have a scan booked for Wednesday as the midwife doesn't think my bump has grown for 3/4 weeks and in am only measuring 32 weeks, (previous scans have been perfect btw. I had my last one about 2 weeks ago and he was fine).

Midwife has told me to keep an eye on movements and normally this baby hasn't stopped moving... and don't get me wrong he's still moving but the movements are different and I feel odd.

Would you ring the mau? Am I just being daft?

Yes, give them a ring. I've been in a few times this pregnancy (33 weeks) and they have always reassured me that I did the right thing. Hopefully it's nothing but it is always worth getting checked. Once I went in and everything was fine. I apologised for wasting their time. The midwife said "don't be silly, we would rather you came in but we would also rather there was nothing wrong when you do!".

I'd ring. They won't mind putting your mind at rest if it turns out to be nothing.

I feel a complete fraud Sad

I'm going to give them a call now I think.

Thank you.

How did you get on? I'd be ringing them in your situation too, don't feel like a fraud!

How's things LST?

LST · 12/01/2014 22:21

Sorry for the late reply. I've only just managed to put my phone on charge.

They wanted me to go in and go on to the monitor. Everything seemed ok. Which is great to hear. I just have to wait until Wednesday for my growth scan. The midwife that measured me today says I was measuring small but 35 weeks not the 32 that my midwife measured... so I seem to have grown 3 weeks worth of bump in 2 days!!

I remember being told that the tape-measure-type measurements that midwifes can do are not v reliable. The scans are clearly more precise. Hope you're feeling better OP.
