NCT or Daisy Birthing classes?

Have provisionally booked an NCT signature course that I have until tomorrow to confirm, which is £210. I've just found a daisy birthing course that either does six weeks mums only for £54 or a couples course for £60 and now I'm confused! Does anyone have any advice? I can't afford to do both and I can't find out much about the daisy one!

I've just started the daisy birthing, the 1st class was great, lots of yoga type moves, learned about the uterus and how it works. I was in the same situation as you and chose daisy as I have heard very mixed reviews of nct abs the money not spent there went towards the pram instead!

I did both in my first pregnancy. NCT was far, far better in terms of preparing me and in particular DH for birth and for making friends. Very close to two women from my class and see them twice a week 2 years on.

I liked the yoga in LazyDaisy and found it a relaxing thing to do in an evening once a week when I had to drop my exercise classes.

Nct much better for chatting and making friends. Lazy daisy is more of an exercise class.

I would go with Daisy because it is so much more practical than NCT. If you are a keen reader and internetter NCT probably won't give you much more facts than you couldn't read yourself. Perhaps NCT involves dads more though and is a lot more social.

I'm planning to do NCT but primarily as a way-in to meeting other mums. Basically just treating it like a dating agency!

I went to the NCT classes and me and DH loved them. I found it informative and also made some good friends.
