Every women is different. I'm 26 weeks and only just starting to show. I'm overweight so I don't no if that makes a difference. And even then I don't look massive only just has my tummy started to feel solid. But there was days when I looked like I had a bump and some days I don't think its water retention to.

If you concerned phone a midwife but I'm sure your baby is fine growing quite nicely :) xx

I have the same thing, I'm 16+5 with first. Sometimes I look 6 months pregnant, then it goes down the next day. I think its bloating. No movement yet so its hard not to worry.

SweetPea86 · 10/01/2014 19:07

I started feeling movement around 21 weeks, and once you feel those little kicks it reminds to baby is spinning around in there. Even when there kicking you at 3 in the morning :)

Maybe change MW, she doesn't sound too great. She should always be there at the end of the phone if you need her. My next appointment is for 16wk and that's with my MW but only for bloods and checks. The next scan is 20wks and I'm sure that's the same for most? I have 2 MW's because I work 200 miles from home so I have a temporary one near work. I shouldn't be an issue for you to change

if you feel you need to speak to someone but not on the phone, try googling Aptaclub as they have an online live chat facility

I just look like I've eaten a big dinner, and I'm 19+2. Lots of women don't get a proper bump until well after 20 weeks. In early pregnancy it's quite common to get bloated, which would result in an on again off again 'bump.'

SweetPea86 · 10/01/2014 20:14

Sorry to hear that Hun I'm in same situation seen a midwfie at 8 weeks then did see another one untill 24 weeks coz they kept cancelling on me.
The notes you get mine in a purple folder that you take to your appointments there should be a number in front for community midwifes.

If in doubt go see you GP for support like the other lady suggested you could ask for a different midwfie xx

dizhin79 · 10/01/2014 23:12

if it's any consolation I didn't get a visible bump until wk 26, it's all about your body's proportions. I got no recognition of being pregnant for ages and only now is it really obvious 32 weeks! I'm sure you're little one is growing like crazy, you'll get to see them at your next scan xx

dizhin79 · 10/01/2014 23:14

Ps I too am a long legged lady, 5'10", I think being taller means the bub has so much more space to grow in to they just stay really subtle! I'm still in pre pregnancy jeans and have only got 8weeks left!

longleggedlady · 11/01/2014 07:40

Thank you is much for the reassurance. You are all brilliant xxx

I also didn't get a bump for ages, until well after 20 weeks. The baby hadn't moved much out of my pelvic bone at my 16 week appointment.

Your midwife doesn't sound great, can you swop? You should have notes at least.
