Can I decline consultant-led care?

This is DC4. Each time I've been consultant-led due to high BMI. I also have pre-term babies (they've all been 35 weeks), and had pre-eclampsia in my first pregnancy, though subsequent ones were healthy. The hospital is an hour away, and they're usually running at least 30 minutes behind. It's also referred to the consultant because I'm a carrier of a genetic condition which they don't seem to understand, but I've always said we don't want genetic testing so it makes no difference to the pregnancy.

I've just started slimming world which I'm going to continue so I know I won't gain an unhealthy amount. The appointments I've had with the consultant always seem pointless, the appointments aren't extra ones, they replace MW ones and all they do is the same checks the MW does anyway. Even when each time I've gone into early labour they've never tried to stop it. Is it possible for me to decline consultant-led care, and is it likely to be a problem?
