I have no idea what has happened to me but I've all of a sudden become a bit of a freak when it comes to what I'm eating. I'm nearly 30 weeks, and am being conscious of what in eating. I'm not sure whether it's because Christmas is out the way, or because I've just been tested for GTT (awaiting results) but am wondering whether any other mums to be feel/felt like this? I'm starting the whole nesting thing too Grin

I developed diabetes at 28 w and I became beyond strict. I refused to even have a small treat and went onto a super health kick. It may be the fear of the GTT that's doing it to you.

Mine were 4+ in urine and a GTT of 10.8, which is very bad. Diabetes proper is classed as over 11. I had no risk factors either, not overweight, no pregnancy weight gain, no familial history.

I'm 25 weeks and feeling lthe same, have gtt test next month. I ate absolute rubbish in first trimester because I felt so sick all I could stomach was cola, ginger beer and white carbs, then had kind of got into the habit of it once the nausea went at 14 weeks! Am now trying to eat better and exercise to make up for it

My mw text me today, and thank god my results are fine SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile still got a mentality of trying to be good though!

I'm the same! I had a small amount of glucose in my 28 week sample just after Xmas and it has been the kick up the ass I needed to get back to my pre-preg healthy eating. I think I have also just come through the other side of the 2nd tri carb fest!
