asthma and third trimester

I'm asthmatic, and it's normally well under control. During the pregnancy so far it's been fine, more under control than normal actually.

However, in the last few weeks it's started to get a bit worse. Only in terms of chest feeling a bit tight and a wheezy cough. No attacks of anything.

I have been getting acid reflux so I guess that could be making it worse.

Does anyone else have similar? Is it best for me to try and manage it at home (I can up my inhaler) or go see the asthma nurse/gp and get it checked out? I'm 36+4 so I don't have long to get it back under control.

I'm 22+3 days and I suffer really badly with asthma, worrying about the third trimester! Are you using 2 inhalers? Brown and blue? I use brown everyday and it helps. I have an appointment at end of the month with the asthma midwife, maybe ask about that?

I have have fairly bad asthma and I'm 16 weeks. Mine has got worse over the past few weeks, but it usually does this time of year as one of my triggers is cold weather, plus all the coughs and colds that everyone seems to pass around. No harm in going to see GP/nurse to keep on safe side and reassure yourself

Thanks all Smile I currently take symbicort, and agree it's fab. I could increase my dose and see if the asthma improves. I don't really want to be put on oral steroids.
