Just had my 36 week check with midwife and was asked to get on scales, not put a single ounce on since booking in appointmentGrin.
Baby is huge but growing well , so it looks like I'm going to be slimmer after birth than i was before I was pregnant Grin.
Well pleased

Well done!!

Sammie101 · 09/01/2014 16:11

Well done.

I'm going to go eat my feelings now Hmm

Banana79 · 09/01/2014 16:31

Well done! Do you mind me asking if you were skinny minny or otherwise before pg? I haven't put any weight on yet either (although I'm only 18 weeks) and I 've read that if you had a raised bmi before pg you would put on less weight than someone with a low BMI...makes sense as my insulation was already in place! Wink

Charotte31 · 09/01/2014 16:55

Show off! :)

Strongecoffeeismydrug · 09/01/2014 17:06

I was a bit over weight to begin withWink so really didn't want to put much on.
My youngest is nine and I never really managed to get rid of the weight I put in with him so I'm pleased.

Very impressive!!! Every time I get on the scales I get heavier

LucyB1 · 09/01/2014 17:12

show off in only 14 weeks and have put on 8 pound already! Still constantly hungry and eating a bowl of crunchy nut as i type!

i was particularly light when i got preggo though so maybe my body is evening itself out!

Writerwannabe83 · 09/01/2014 17:16

How is it physically possible not to put any weight on when you are pregnant???

I'm 29 weeks and have so far put on 1stone and 9lbs.

Tea1Sugar · 09/01/2014 17:24

Did you have extreme sickness? How can that even work?!

I'm 25weeks and have put on 19lbs, weighed myself today and am 9st 9lb. I'm aiming for a maximum weight gain of 2.5 stone but I started off underweight.

TheZeeTeam · 09/01/2014 17:27

I had that, OP. It's an awesome feeling! I'm my case, I had DC4 12 months after DC3. He just ate up my post DC3 baby weight!

Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

Mintyy · 09/01/2014 17:28

Is this something to be proud of? I'm rather alarmed by this!!

Pinkbell123 · 09/01/2014 17:29

Agree with writer, how is that possible?! Surely baby etc is the best part of a stone. Did you lose loads in the first trimester with the sickness?

I dread to think what I weigh now! Blush

schokolade · 09/01/2014 17:39

Mintyy wrote what I was thinking - how do you mean?? You weigh less now than you did at the start, or have only put on the exact weight of the baby? Don't you have massive increases in blood volume that increase weight?

Rosieliveson · 09/01/2014 17:49

I lost a lot of weight when first pregnant so finished the pregnancy a whole pound later than when is conceived.
I was pleased as it meant no baby weight to shift and I quickly got back into my old (but not exactly smallWink) clothes. It actually saved a lot of money on buying bigger clothes whilst I regained my shape!

littleducks · 09/01/2014 17:53

I didn't put on weight in last pregnancy. Your body burns fat and baby grows leading to an equilibrium and maintained weight. More likely to occur if you are a bit overweight (as I was Wink)

Oddest bit was that I didn't really loose weight after baby was born either. I was expecting to get on scales and be at leafy the baby weight lighter.....how that works I don't really know, food retention or something.

littleducks · 09/01/2014 17:53

Fluid retention not food (not sure if that was a Freudian slip or iPhone autocorrect)

VworpVworp · 09/01/2014 18:00

It's not particularly healthy to have put no weight on over a whole pregnancy. Why would you be proud of that?

Unless you were severely overweight/obese beforehand...

PenguinsDontEatKale · 09/01/2014 18:08

Unless you were obese beforehand, I'm not sure how this is healthy. It means you have lost a massive amount of weight yourself over the pregnancy, once you deduct baby, placenta, blood volume, etc. The only women I know who have done this have been really poorly with HG.

Strongecoffeeismydrug · 09/01/2014 18:12

No I haven't had any sickness, yes I've eaten healthy and baby is growing well so I can't see why I shouldn't be pleased !
I have pcos really severe usually so I find it hard to lose weight ( I'm a little overweight not obese)
Maybe my metabolism is better while I'm pregnant.
Who knowsWink.
I'm pleased anyway

Not yet....

Ditavontitty · 09/01/2014 18:17

I really don't understand this obsession with weight and size in pregnancy? Why worry about it unless it is affecting the baby? You are supposed to put on weight in pregnancy. Step away from the trashy celeb mags would be my advice.

Feelingfatty · 09/01/2014 18:51

Dita, I thought this whilst pregnant with my dd...I didn't weigh myself as didn't want to get 'hung up' on weight gain. In doing this I gained 4 STONE!! I wish I had thought more about it!! Took a year to lose it all!! Fair play to you op as long as you were overweight before and have been eating healthily!
