Just that really.
It's impossible to make any classes due to work, and I would really like to get some exercise/limbering up.
I have done yoga on and off for years, though not in the last few months due to nausea & sickness.

There's a lot on YouTube - I've been doing the "10 minute solution" Pilates (which is probably Pilates based rather than pure Pilates). There's a range of other yoga and Pilates videos on there, lots which look worth a try.

I am a physio and my pilates training is done by the APPI - they have a great DVD (well I am enjoying it) called APPI pilates for pregnancy. You need a little bit of theraband to do the DVD too as they use it for upper body work.

I bought 10 minute solutions prenatal pilates DVD from amazon cheaply and I love it. There are 5 x 10 min workouts which you can do all at once or one at a time. Very accessible and feels great.

Hi, I love the ten minute solutions prenatal pilates dvd and Erin O'Briens complete pregnancy workout :c) I did get Davina's Pregnancy workout DVD but find this too light as have been working out (albeit only for 10-20 mins a day lol) for years. I also do yoga, I took classes before DD1 but after I just couldn't find time to go so started printing off online yoga workouts and doing them at home, I googled and found some great 10-15 minute prenatal yoga workouts that were printable and I can do them first thing in morning before work (in peace and quiet whilst DD1 and DP still sleeping lol) my dogs look at me like I am crazy lol. If you want my Davina DVD I am happy to post to you as I don't use it :c) Not been on here long but think you can send me a PM with your addy :c) I also printed off strength/dumbell preganancy workouts too for pregnancy and these are great (one is on the fitness ball and one is free weights) am in my thrid trimester and am still able to do all the above no bother - as for cardio I have an exercise bike which I do 10 minutes on a couple of times a week.

Another advocate for 10 minute solutions pilates. I'm 37 weeks and quite unfit generally but I find it manageable!
I'm also enjoying Tara Lee Pregnancy health yoga, which has really really helped with my sleeping recently. I do it in the evenings and am soooo relaxed afterwards. Worth checking out.

I'm 41 weeks and still doing the Tara Lee pregnancy health yoga DVD. I've never been very good at yoga but find I can manage this and just do the easier bits now I'm bigger. It is very relaxing, the time spent focusing on my breathing helps me connect with baby and I always feel benefit afterwards, it also covers a bit of pelvic floor and labour positions.

By the way, if you get the 10 min solutions you will need to buy some small dumbells (I got mine from Argos)

Kungfubaby · 09/01/2014 17:47

I use cans of beans as dumbells Grin

Me too kungfubaby Grin.

You can use cans or even small bottles of water as dumbells :c)

It's a godsend!

I tried it Tuesday nite- body was aching right up until today, it is GOOD, quite tough, lots of squats and baby planks! I'll be doing it weekly.. beats pay 15 quid for the pregnancy pilates down the road!
