I know it most prob the weather, but i am 36+2 and my feet are hurting they are that swollen, have no ankle bone at all lol.My wrsits and hands are swollen up too, i can't get my rings off and wrists are very puffy, Have NEVER suffered with water retention...Should i do anything about this? I have a MW appointment on Thurs, should i leave it till then? or try and go GP's tomorrow?

I had this, and the mw will want to see you just to check it is not a sign of something more serious. I would phone tomorrow just in case.

try a cool or cold bath or shower in case it's heat related.

and use oil to try and get the rings off before they do damage

definitely phone mw though in case she wants to check your urine and bp for pre-eclampsia. better safe than sorry

Had this through my last pregnancy towards the end. I told the midwives and they came to visit me at home the next day. They wanted to keep a close eye on me because it is one symptom of pre - eclampsia. I was fine though.

Probably nothing to worry about but I'd mention it to a midwife tomorrow. It'll stop you worrying, if nothing else.

Take care.

try to keep you potassium levels up - eat bananas & drink lots of water.
