Pregnancy pilates

I'm starting a class tomorrow evening, having been not completely unfit before I got pregnant, but since then I've been too exhausted to move. The haze has lifted a fair bit now (I'm 15+4) and I need to get moving again. Has anyone tried this? Any good?

I did pregnancy Pilates through all 3 pgs. I enjoyed it, it was quite restful and I was on a trampoline 3 weeks after DD3's birth with no worries Grin... beaver of steel©, me.

Larf, not part! DYAC.

I did through both pg, from about 4 months (after I'd stopped throwing up). I liked the forced relaxation and feel that the exercises did me good too.

poledra I'm impressed with the trampolining! Oh that my pelvic floor is that strong Grin

Did you combine it with anything else?

Nope. I am generally quite idle, the only exercise I take is horse-riding and I gave that up for the 7 years I was pg/breastfeeding/had no life of my own.

Ah, I miss horseriding. And iceskating. I only seem to enjoy sports incompatible with pregnancy.

I bought a DVD for next to nothing on amazon and it's great. Loving pregnancy pilates!

I did my normal Pilates class (with modifications of course) every week until the day DD2 was born. Plus pregnancy Pilates DVD at home. And then kept on with it after the birth (post 6 week check).
Really think it helped keep everything strong and toned.

I did Suzanne Bowen's DVD up until the day DS2 was born - it's really good.
