Exhausted!

One minute I'm feeling absolutely fine, pottering about doing little things, and the next I'm completely exhausted! It's not like I've been doing anything strenuous though. Back at work today and after an hour or so I felt like having a lie down, employer is going to think I'm taking the mickey! Is this exhaustion normal? I'm only 12wks+5 Confused

I feel exactly the same. I was exhausted after work on Friday. Felt great on Saturday and have spent yesterday and today feeling like a wrung out dishcloth! I have work this afternoon & just trying to persuade myself to get ready.

Yeah very normal I'm 26 weeks now and starting to feel like that again, I got a bit of a boost around 16 -17 weeks now I'm slowly feeling shattered again.

Just try and rest when you can don't fight it, I did and ended up waking up at night or finding it hard to get to sleep. Try and nap if u get chance.

I feel your pain! I am absolutely completely shattered! I fell asleep at my desk on Thursday and a colleague came over to check that I wasn't dead! No one in work knows I'm pregnant though, except my manager and he's male, so doesn't' get it.

I am falling asleep again today and I'm so uncomfortable in my work clothes, I'm having a miserable day today. And I have to do the food shopping later as my DP is away working Sad really don't feel up to it. I'm only 10 weeks + 2!

Don't suppose anyone knows of any remedies to get through the exhaustion? My work does say to let them know if your tired and they will make suitable arrangements so I might use that policy when I finally tell them after my scan.

Totally normal. I have needed afternoon naps and earlier nights throughout this pregnancy. The tiredness did get better at the start of the third trimester, but at 36 weeks it's back for good!

I'm 17 weeks. About 3pm I feel like I've been hit by a train. I could sleep standing. I'm in bed by 9pm every night. It used to be 11-12 ish!

Good to know I'm not the only one feeling this way earlier on. Trouble is, even though my employer knows I'm pregnant, I feel like he thinks I'm taking the piss when I say I need to lie down or I start falling asleep at my desk. Is there an official health and safety policy or work act that says I'm entitled to having extra breaks?
