Hi all, im in hospital with a suspected pe. Has anyone been through this? Im super worried, started on tinzaparin and awaiting scan. Just wanted some positives and to pass the time! Ty in advance.

Hi, yes I had one in sept 2012, (was not pregnant at time) caused they think by the pill, I was in warfrin for 6months to disburse it, now I am pregnant i hAve to have clexaine injection everyday to thin my blood, as when your prgnant your blood gets naturally thicker.

You are in the best place and thy can keep an eye on you and decide the course of action they need to take. Please try notto worry, they are far more dangerous when they are not know about

Yes, had three PEs and a DVT the length of my leg. Wasn't pregnant at the time, however like Surprisethird have been on the Clexane during this pregnancy.

Once it's diagnosed it is relatively easy to treat and once they know you are susceptible they will keep a close eye on you. Much more dangerous if its undiagnosed and left untreated.

Thanks for the replies all. It wasnt a pe in the end and i got out of hospital thursday night. I had bird flu and pneumonia!
