Hi,

Sorry if this is TMI but just went for a wee and when I wiped myself the tissue was tinged browny-red bloody coloured.

Has anyone else had this? Should I ring the midwife?

No pains or cramps (apart from usual uncomfortable because I'm the size of a house stuff). And I've felt baby move in the last two hours.

Didn't really want to ring midwife as it's only just happened once. Should I wait to see if it happens next time I wee (which probably won't be ages away anyway?)

I'd say ring the midwife, better to put your mind at rest

Phone the midwife - that's what they are there for.

I would call the maternity triage at the hospital. I had this three times (23 weeks, 26 weeks and 33 weeks). The first two I had overnight hospital stays for observation and a scan (nothing detected) and the third one was my show and the baby popped out two hours later! It's always better to check.

Best to ring.

Not to be too indelicate tho- but blood may be coming from the back and not the front.

Piles would be perfectly normal at this stage.

I thought that too, SaucyJack, so wiped again very carefully to make sure I couldn't have caught any from anywhere else, and there was still some on the tissue.

Going to ring now.

Thank you everyone.

Hope everything's OK, will you update when you can?

volvocowgirl · 05/01/2014 18:52

Got to keep an eye on it tonight (wearing a pad to check for anymore), been told to ring back if it gets worse or anything else happens. And been given appointment tomorrow PM.

Been to have another wee and it was all clear - so hopefully there's no problem.

Thanks Smile

I've had this first at 5 + 8 weeks and then again twice before Christmas, I have my 20 week scan tomorrow and my midwife has basically told me to stage a sit-in at the obstetrics clinic until I get a speculum examination as she suspects something dodgy with my cervix.

I'm glad someone took you seriously straight away and good luck with your appointment tomorrow!

Midwife thinks due to this and a urine test that I have a UTI. They've sent urine off for further tests and say they will give me antibiotics next week depending on results.

Thanx for everyone's advice/support.

I did - my waters had broken at 30 weeks.

Fedup1992 · 07/01/2014 01:25

Hey I had blood in my wee a 20 odd weeks that was a wee infection but this morning I had a pink colour thick discharge told my midwife and she said it's prob a show don't worry. Easy to say- first baby and don't have a clue what to expect.

Had pains in my groin and back for 2 days not as often today tho.

Xxx

How far are you now, Fedup? Smile
