I always sit with my legs crossed. my mum has told me to stop it as it is bad for ur circulation and can cause varicose veins? iv never heard this before? its such a habit I cant help but don't want to end up with varicose veins either!

My midwife told me that, first I'd ever heard of it but I try not to do it now and fail

Midwife told me not to, I think it's because it twists your pelvis.

I've been crossing my legs all pregnancy but no varicose veins. Yet! From what I've heard from friends they tended to get them more in their second pregnancy. I guess if it's your first baby you have more time to put your feet up.

Yes apparently my midwife also told me it was very bad for the pelvis and was making my spd worse

My consultant told not to cross my legs. I didn't take much notice though. I already have varicose veins! Wink Grin

It can misalign you which raises risk of SPD etc. crossing them before pregnancy on the other hand... Grin

I think it's just not good for your hips/pelvis.

I just can't actually cross my legs anymore...I envy u all!!
