Feel different

Not sure what I'm hoping to get out of this post as I know you can't tell me if anything is wrong.

So currently 14.5 weeks with second pregnancy (1st ended in mmc at 11 week). And for the last week or so I've been feeling different, not sure how to explain it, but some how less pregnant. Perhaps less bloated, breasts aren't sore anymore. No bleeding but some odd pains, actually not really pains more just weird feelings.

I want to attribute this to the placenta taking over and my hormones settling down a bit. However that's what I thought last time and it was a mc. We've had a couple of scans, last one at 13 weeks so I know everything was ok but now starting to worry.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Should I be worrying or just try and ignore it? Next mw appointment is at 16.2 should I just wait till then and talk to her or do I need to do something sooner?

Sorry it's long, good to get things down, and reading back I do wonder if I'm just worrying because of the mc, just wish I could turn the worry off!

You are probably right about hormones, a lot of women experience fewer symptoms around the 14-16 week stage, so hopefully it's all normal. However, I completely understand where you are coming from in terms of worrying about things! Can you afford a private scan? Might just put your mind at rest if you can't wait for the 16 week check. Your midwife will probably be able to hear the baby's heartbeat, at your 16 week appt, and from then on you may start to feel movements which makes everything a bit more reassuring!

Your midwife should be able to hear the heart beat by now. I'm sure she will be willing to have a listen this week considering your past history.

My mw has been lovely and offered this if everything proceeds well and my scan doesn't show another mmc

Hi Hun. Every women is different and hormone levels change throughout pregnancy, it doesn't mean that your less pregnant. I like to look at it as your baby is snug as a bug all settled in his or her new home for the next months ahead so the hormones have leveled out a bit

Sorry about your loss up with your first pregnancy

Thanks for your replies. I'm trying to believe that this is all normal. Think I will wait till my mw appointment and see if she can hear a heartbeat. At the 12 week scan they said I have an anterior placenta which I think can make that harder, so if she can't think I might try and get a scan for reassurance. Hopefully work will distract me until then!
