Very happy to know that there are two heart beats and everything look ok , hanging where they should be .... Nurse performed an ultrasound after I complained about left ovary pain but found nothing . Got home after the appointment and find little bit pink discharge when wipe ..... I am really scared now I don't know y it is happening . I keep thinking may be nurse pressed hard on my stomach while ultrasound and that cause this pink stuff or may be it is normal at this time with twins ??
Girlies anyone in same situation or any idea or stories to share ??? I am first time mum to be and everything freak me out . Please helpppp

Hi,

Try not to worry as it's not necessarily anything to worry about. With my first pregnancy (single baby) I had red/pink spotting on and off from about 6 weeks - 15 weeks but despite the worry I went on to have a healthy baby (DS).

This pregnancy (twin pregnancy) I have also had a little spotting but far less than first pregnancy and at 26 weeks all going well so far. Spotting is not uncommon in pregnancy for lots of reasons and doesn't mean there is a problem and as you say could just be the result of the ultrasound. But obviously keep an eye on it and if it turns into more of a flow then obviously contact your midwife.

Good luck and try not to worry (easier said than done i know!)

Congrats and thank you very much Jammie , it's the assurance I am after . Any idea why it happen though ? What did your doctors say for both if your pregnancy spotting ?? I read online that twin pregnancy dies that !

Did you get an internal scan? It might well have irritated your insides, causing a bit of bleeding. There's no reason for it to be anything scary.

I was never given a reason for it to be honest as there are so many possibilities and it settled down for the second trimester. Yes it can happen with a twin pregnancy, but could be breakthrough bleeding caused by hormones, implantation bleeding, as Saggy says an internal scan but I don't think it's that easy to figure out why unless it's an infection or something.

Bleeding/discharge can mean many things and it's very hard not to be anxious.

At 8 weeks with my now 4.6 year old DS I had brown and red discharge on and off for four days and everything was fine. It is very normal, actually. So please do try and relax although if you find yourself with no peace of mind I personally, would ask the midwife for another scan to put yourself at ease.

Thanks my dolls . I never had internal scan it was just gel rubbed on tummy and ultrasound through the skin but I felt nurse was press very hard . I am editing Thursday will keep record of any changes and will doctor on the day .
I have always been worrier but now I am worse case lolz
