Hi ladies, I'm Carly. I found out 4 weeks ago that I am 5 months pregnant. Literally had no idea as thought I couldn't conceive. Went for a routine appointment and they told me I was 21 weeks pregnant lol. Now the shock has calmed down I'm so so happy it's the best feeling in the world, and I'm having a boy like I always wanted!! Am just wondering what kinds of pains are normal? I worry about him every day incase something is wrong, is it normal to have sharp pains right at the top of the tummy at this stage? Also a really sore part of my tummy is so tender to touch, is this just the way he is pushing or something? Any feedback would be brilliant, thanks so much and congratulations to u all :) xx

Hi Carly,
I've had aches pains and twinges since 4 weeks and have always been so anxious of all of them! Everyone gets different aches and pains. Mine have always been lower belly/groin and some have been rather debilitating- though midwife and physio have reassured me they're ligament pains and muscle spasms where my lower back joints are suffering. Now she's bigger (29 weeks) her movemets are sometimes a little uncomfy :-)

Congratulations! What an amazing surprise, and you skipped the worry of first trimester too :)
I'm also 26wks and got various aches and pains. Today I had shooting pains when a foot was wedged at the top of my bump. I just pushed her to move and it subsided. Also get shooting pains and sore bits of bump where she's pushing against it - but as with all pregnancy related worries, talk to your midwife if you're concerned.

Hello! Thanks very much and congratulations to u too :) wow I didn't realise pains could come that early on. That's comforting to hear from you as I'm constantly on google lol but to actually hear it from people in the same situation is much better. And you're right I will make sure to contact midwife if have anymore concerns. Really appreciate your reply, all the best to u and bump xx

I got sent for a cervical screening aswell by my doctor and that's how I found out, crazy! Congratulations to you :-D we must be due around the same time then, are u expecting in April? So you are the same then with the sore parts on the bump, it can be quite uncomfortable can't it, it's a good job they are worth it hey lol. Thanks very much for you're reply, best wishes to u and ur baby girl xx
