..when their babies are due/over due and people say "silly" things like "Are you still here" or "No signs yet". But over the past week or so almost every day I have had different people getting in touch asking how I am (I'm due Monday), including some friends of my DH who I dont even know. And to be honest I'm really touched by it. I've had loads of texts/phone calls/messages and I had no idea so many people actually cared enough to think about me and want to make the effort to get in touch. I feel really blessed

I like your perspective! I wish I could have looked at it this way but I went two weeks over with my first. With my birthplan sailing out if the window, nerves about my impending induction, general late pregnancy uncomfortable feelings, I found I did get very irritated/anxious with all the texts and queries!

I think it very much depends on the type of pregnancy you have. Glad you are in such a positive frame of mind. Good luck for Monday.

Uh I hope I dont go two weeks over everything. I already feel as though I'm over due even though I've got a couple of days until due date.
My nerves keep fluctuating, some days I think "bring it on" and other days I'm a gibbering wreck. I'll just be glad when its over.

That is really nice. I think the big test will be whether you can keep that mindset if you do go overdue. I didn't mind it until after my due date, but once I was over I wanted to strangle people who made those comments with my bare hands! Hopefully you are more serene.

This is DC3 and my due date is practically a state secret. I have been very vague intentionally to everyone.
