Leaking?

Hi
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this... I ran for a bus this afternoon and experienced a small gush if fluid. It would have been about a teaspoon. Then the rest of the day there has been a small amount of wetness. Nothing alarming however when I coughed this evening I had another little gush. I don't think it can be wee as I'd just come back from the loo (again!) oh I'm 24 weeks pregnant. Any advice welcome ...

Pop on a pad so that when it happens again you can have an investigate! Could be wee as you might not be emptying your bladder fully, could be discharge due to the joys of glamorous pregnancy, hopefully it's not waters just yet.
If you're in an doubt take any soiled pads along to your maternity team.

I would telephone the hospital and get advice from midwives there. I leaked during my 3rd pregnancy for several weeks ( I kept thinking I was sweating down there , it was only so small and it was a very hot summer in Australia ). I was told I was lucky my son was born alive- when my waters broke it smelt like fish because of an infection I had (due to small leak.). Best be sure.. Good luck.x

Did it smell? Urine and amniotic fluid smell different. My waters leaked from 24 weeks but I didn't go into labour luckily. If it is waters you need to be monitored very closely and have blood tests twice a week to check for infection. Definitely call your midwife if you think it is your waters.
It's known as pprom if you want to look up the condition. Best of luck

even if you have just been to the loo it can still be wee. I know because I have a wrecked pelvic floor and a recent cough meant even going for a wee frequently did not stop the little leaks. it's amazing there is still anything in the bladder after a wee but there is, and a cough, jump or run will force it out.

a heavy baby is putting a lot of pressure on your bladder at the moment.
