Missed miscarriage

I went for a scan 2 weeks ago because of cramping and they told me to come back (which was today). The could see no development and think that I may miscarry naturally. Feeling scared, sad and helpless.

I'm really sorry. This happened to me 18 months ago. Here if you need shareholding or practical advice on what happens next

[Thanks]

Sorry that was meant to be flowers

Sending you love. I experienced the same thing last year. Pop over to the miscarriage board under body and soul. The girls there will look after you. I went down the surgical route in the end which was quick and 'easy'. I hope you have good support - please be gentle with yourself.

I am so sorry did hear that. I'm so confused though. I was the one that instigated the scans so I would have been none the wiser. Did it happen naturally?

Mabelandrose, sorry to hear that. I am very new to this site. Where can I find body and soul is it within this website?

Go to 'talk' then the list of topics you will see 'body and soul' and in there there is a separate misc thread.

It's nothing you have done. Often it's because the baby just didn't develop property and sadly would always have died. In my situation my body didn't realise this so I had no pain or bleeding, just had a shock at the 12 week scan.

Sadly you will realise it's very common and around 1in 3-4 pregnancies end in miscarriage early on. The miscarriage association is another excellent resource.

I had surgery. I'd had no signs anything was wrong until the scan and had a previous scan showing everything was ok.

When/if you're ready to try again there's a ttc after miscarriage thread that' I found really helpful. Now have a 5 month old ds so having one doesn't mean it'll happen again.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. I second the suggestion to find the Miscarriage board on here. I found it a very useful source of info and support when I mc'd earlier this year.

I really wanted to mc naturally (fear of hospitals among other things) and did. It wasn't pleasant but not that bad. There was only one day where I felt I needed to be laying down and took codeine. The rest of the time I pretty much just carried on (I found this helped me - everyone copes differently and there is no right or wrong, just be kind to yourself).

I also had a MMC, mine was about 7.5 years ago. I had an ERPC.

I ALREADY HAD ONE DC and went on to have 2 more.

Sorry, didn't mean to shout, accidentally left the caps lick on.
