So I am 32 weeks and been feeling tired and run down. Usual niggles at this stage but nothing major. Last couple days I been a little sore down below but again nothing major. So mum suggested I use one of her urine test sticks to check for infection. It came up maximum ketones almost instantly and slight protein. I can't get in with a GP til Monday. Not sure if I should be worried or just keep using canesten and wait til midwife appt on 13th Jan xx

I had this recently as had a bad bleed and was dehydrated (all ok now thankfully). The gynae doc explained it to me as follows:

Excess protein in your urine can be a sign of a urinary tract infection (UTI), Later in your pregnancy, it can also be a sign of preeclampsia but only if it's accompanied by high blood pressure.

Ketones are produced when the body starts breaking down stored or ingested fat for energy. This can happen when you're not getting enough carbs and/or are dehydrated (due to vomiting for example)

Hope that helps! Don't be afraid to ring your midwife for advice

Have you been having any headaches? as this and protein in late pregnancy is a sign of Pre Eclampsia maybe worth giving your anti natal unit a ring they may have you in to check your urine x

I'd get in touch with your midwife. Protein can be pre-eclampsia or a uti and there's a higher chance of uti travelling to your kidney in pregnancy.
Ketones might be dehydration but it might be you need a glucose tolerance test for gestational diabetes.

These aren't things worth leaving be. Definitely worth Bering seen as soon as possible.
