Will they still sweep if I've had a show?

Hi everyone

I'm 40+4 today and due for a sweep on Monday. However, over the last 36 hours I have has a bloody show and the jelly like blob. This is DC2 but DD was induced so didn't go through the motions as it were!

It's occurred to be that as a sweep is to prime the cervix and a bloody show is evidence that this is happening that they may not sweep or want to induce?

Any experiences much appreciated. TIA

Yes they will

I had a show and then a sweep - really kicked things off and I went into labour 2 hours after

Thanks Ruby. Obviously hoping it won't get that far - three days until that point!

Hopefully you'll go into labour naturally before Monday! Any other signs yet?

Lots of one off painful contractions over last 48 hours or so, but they are not building up or getting longer/more frequent unfortunately.

Thank you all! Happily the question was academic as DD2 born last night.
