Breasts deflated and now I'm scared I have miscarried

I am about 9 weeks pregnant. My boobs were really swollen and large, but now they are starting to feel almost normal again. I have read similar older posts on here saying that this does not necessarily mean a miscarriage, but I am still worried.

Mine did the same at about 10 weeks and I panicked and thought it was over (and spent two hours punching them wondering why they didn't hurt anymore). Two weeks later, had the scan and all was well :) I'm now 23 weeks, will be 24 on Monday :) (and I don't recommend punching them regularly, they do start to hurt again!)

Hi moominleigh, thanks for your message. It's so nice to discuss things with someone as this is my first pregnancy and I have only told my partner so far. I feel a bit better hearing your experience and I will definitely avoid punching my boobs! All the best with your pregnancy :)

I had the same worry over Christmas...was around 9 and a half weeks and they stopped feeling as sore and not as swollen. Now at 11 weeks they are back to hurting again and I'm happily reassured! Saw my Midwife this week who said it's normal for hormones to fluctuate.

Mine hurt on and off for the first trimester. So bad I ha to sleep in a crop top. They did seem to stop hurting overnight. They gradually regrew until about 16 weeks, and have stayed the same since (31 weeks now).

Symptoms do come and go, from memory you are also just about the stay where the placenta takes over so that might make a difference to symptoms! (You might want to check this as I am dredging my memory!)

Thanks for your answers. Very useful. I am more worried about the sickness now - so much to worry about!

the same thing happened to me, then they came back after a couple of days. . try not to worry, it seems to happen to alot of women. i actually got an early scan to be sure and was happy to have that temporary peace of mind.

Racal7 I have been doing the same thing 😶 like most days just to see if they feel the same except I think I’ve noticed a change and ‘deflation’ recently. I’m 8 weeks 4 days. I am super paranoid as I have no sickness. Main symptom is tiredness plus I did have a mmc 5 months ago. Always something! Stay positive xxx

Hi OP! I know how worrying it can be when that happens - I was the same. Mine were absolute agony to the point I had to hold the walking up and down stairs, the all of a sudden around 10/11 weeks it stopped and they went back to normal! I was terrified but baby was fine. I’m sure yours is too Flowers
