Antenatal Care- Hackney

Feeling a bit annoyed about the lack of 'duty of care' between hospital and midwives in my health centre. Called the antenatal booking number this morning as advised by GP surgery to book 16 week appt. They told me that the docs should organise all appointments. As I am off work at the mo I called into docs who told me to contact the hospital to make appointment when I told them what the other had said she proceeded to tell me that I could see the midwife on either Tuesday or Wednesday next week. When I explained that I couldn't move things around at work at such short notice she shrugged and said "i don't know what you should do then". Lovely eh? This is after the docs couldn't locate the 4 vials of blood they took at my booking appointment and had to do it again at my 12 week scan!! Grrr. Rant over.
