Hi all. Looking at the antenatal schedule included in my notes I am due to have an appointment at 16 weeks with my GP. I am 16 weeks next week and haven't heard anything. Do I arrange the appointments myself? Sorry - I am brand new to all of this! Thanks x

Where i am the policy is that you have to make the appointments yourself other than scans which are sent to you via post. I'd give your gp/midwife a call in the morning and book in.

Yes. You need to arrange or book all your own appointments.

Thanks very much. I will give GP a call tomorrow. :)

My midwife booked all my future appointments with her and for blood tests etc at my booking in appointment. The GP appointments I've had to arrange myself.

Yes you do (though these things suffer around the country, I had to though)

*differ not suffer!

I was told to book my 16 week midwife appointment myself at the desk as I went out after my booking in appointment with the midwife (which was at 10-11 weeks).I saw my GP once at 7 weeks to register the pregnancy but wouldn't expect to see her again.
I had an appointment with the consultant at the hospital but that was after my 20 week scan. Most antenatal appointments are with the midwife.
I'd phone your GP surgery tomorrow to check how their system works if I was you.

I don't. Apart from first check in with GP where I was given a number to contact midwife team, all subsequent appointments have been made at my antenatal appointments and written on my notes. My 20 week scan was booked while at my 12 week scan. I've been pretty impressed, tbh after reading of others' experiences. So it definitely depends on where you are.
