When I first found out I was pregnant (I am 5 weeks, 2 days), I was on cloud 9, really happy, positive, life couldn't be any better. I was looking forward to meeting my baby in due course etc.
Today for some reason I have felt nothing but anxiety and fear. "How am going to cope with labour" "what about if it's really bad", "what am I going to do if my midwife is not supporting", "what if other mums have a great birth and mine is really bad and I don't cope" etc etc etc.
I can't understand how I can have gone from so happy to so scared lol!
Did this happen to you?

It is common but at the same time, statistics are surprisingly reassuring. By the time your baby's heart starts beating, at 5-6 weeks you are basically over 90 percent likely not to miscarry. Again factors which make M/C more likely can be avoided: smoking, drinking, drugs... then unfortunately being pregnant after 40.... but it still doesn't mean we won't have a healthy pregnancy, just have to take all factors into account. xx
