Hi all, I'm not sure if I've put this in the right section. I'm pregnant with my 1st. Prams and travel systems really confuse me so I was wondering if I could get some advice.

I've got a Toyota Aygo which has a small boot, its the same size as Citeron C1 or a Peugot 106. I can't afford to buy a new car at the moment so does anyone one know of something that would fit? I'm going to have to measure my boot but haven't got round to it. Thanks! Thanks

We have a C1 so we had to same issues with getting a travel system in the back. We went for the Graco Evo, the frame and car seat adapter fit in the boot fine if you take the parcel shelf out, but the buggy seat or carrycot has to sit on the back seat. That's fine for us, but if you need the space on the back seat it could be annoying. The travel system itself is really easy to use and really light.

Best thing I can recommend is, finding your nearest big Mothercare or Mamas and Papas, one in a retail park, or where you can park outside. They'll let you check if the travel system fits in your boot and that the car seat fits before you buy it.

Having the buggy parts in a footwell or back seat will mean it becomes a potentially lethal object in the event of an accident.

Because of the way it folds a baby jogger city mini was the only push chair to fit our boot when all 7 seat's in use. Can be a travel system too.

I have a Kia Piccanto and also went for the Graco Evo. I found choosing a pram v confusing until I went to Mothercare and tried them out in my boot. The Evo won! Good luck!

Hi - we have an Aygo as our second car. The baby jogger city versa chassis fits in the boot with the parcel shelf taken out - its a travel system so can use with car seat. I suspect a baby jogger city mini would fit too. I've actually got a quinny zap chassis second hand to plug DS3 into in his car seat for the 15 mins a day he's out on the school run - folds super small but not suitable from birth (and I'd probably hate it if it was my main buggy).

Bugaboo bee folds very small and is bloody brilliant! Grin

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 01/01/2014 20:43

I agree! Get a Bugaboo Bee!

Missfrumpsalot · 01/01/2014 20:46

Graco Evo here too. Its fab.

I had a Loola Up travel system with DC1. Parent facing if you choose and lie flat so suitable for a newborn. Options were very limited as my boot was tiny (Ford KA) but the Loola Up (excluding carrycot) fit with a bit of room to spare.

I would have gone for a Bugaboo Bee if I could have afforded it but funds didn't stretch unfortunately.

Thanks for all your replies. At least that narrows things down for me. Xmas Grin

Zapp xtra with maxicosi car seat.
Small, light. Car seat up to 9 months, then seat unit which can be rear or front facing.
Fab!
(And I've had a few buggys, just ask DH !)

I had puegeot 107 , exact same boot spec as Aygo.
I had Quinny Buzz in boot , no need to take any wheels off to fit but had to remove the parcel shelf ( didnt actually put parcel shelf back in til we sold the car).
Put the baby straight into Quinny frame via Maxi cosi car seat . If we wanted to use carrycot that sat on other side if backseat
Also My City mini single and city mini double both fitted in the 107 boot x Havnt had to take wheels of any of them x

Thanks again for all your replies. I'm going to use this as a short list and have a look at them all. Grin

Hello! Just been reading the above and wondering if anybody here could help me. About to have first baby in April and struggling over car seat decisions/confusion over how to find out what seat fits what car. We like the Grace Evo travel system and car seat. Do any of you know if the Graco Evo car seat can be installed in a Kia Pictano?
