Discharge question!

Hi all, just panicked a little after being to the loo for a wee just now. I found brown discharge in my knicks(sorry if tmi) and a little bit when I wiped. I had my dating scan only just yesterday so I'm 12wks today and MW said everything was going extremely well. I've had no pains throughout pg so far and no bleeding and I've felt really good today. I've read that brown discharge shouldn't be anything to worry about as it's old blood but I wondered if anyone had a similar experience at this stage? Just want to set my mind at ease as can't get through to MW at the moment

Brownish discharge is probably a bit of old blood. If you have no pain and feel fine I really wouldn't worry (easier said than done I know!)

If you want to put your mind at rest you could call the local maternity unit, they should be able to advise.

Thanks lanny, that's helped. It's always reassuring hearing it from someone else. I'm not near home at the moment and can't get through to MW but I will try your advice and give local unit a call.

Useful to call just in case but I got a few instances of light brown discharge -mw didnt fob me off but always said not to worry in case it's very heavy or red. Baby now 5 months and well!

I've just joined MN & relieved to see I'm not the only one worrying about brown discharge. I'm 5 weeks pregnant and had very slight light brown discharge on and off from the day I found out I was pregnant & have lost sleep worrying about it having suffered 2 previous MCs in weeks 6 and 8. I've been googling mad and found half the experiences of brown discharge are fine and half aren't. I have a doctors appointment next tuesday so will take it from there. My breasts are really sore so hoping everything is ok. I really sympathise with everyone who experiences abnormal discharge, it's so worrying!!
