Oh I so know what you mean! 24 weeks pg, 2 yr old, and a new puppy who isn't house training so well in this current awful weather! Just had my sister in law and niece stay for 3 weeks over Christmas and after all the energy spent on that I barely feel enough enthusiasm to empty the dishwasher or take the bin out! DH complains of mess but does jack all to help. Need to sort maternity clothes from friends, eBay stuff which has been hoarded for the past year, file mountains of paperwork - not to mention sort baby's nursery!
Have great intentions of doing a room a week but at the moment I can barely keep on top of all the day to day stuff... When toddler is napping all I want is Biscuit and Brew and my couch!

I'm 19+1 and completely ovwrwealmed by every thing at the moment. House looks like it's been burgled and I have no energy to do anything. Bleugh.

Yup. Totally know where you're coming from. Have driven poor DH to distraction over the past couple of months. Currently have the builders in too, so no chance of keeping the place tidy/clean....

Yes, our place is a pigsty (three young DC) as I have bad SPD and can't bend over or indeed do very much at all. DH will tidy the living room maybe once a week. So for about an hour one evening the place looks okay. The rest of the time I am tripping over stuff, hurting myself further, and bloody miserable at being surrounded by a tip as I am too in pain to go out, but there is nothing I can physically do about it. And DH is grumpy and sulky at the state of the place but is not picking up my former share of the tidying. And I wonder why I am depressed Hmm

i was putting off a proper tidy up until after Christmas, took decorations down yesterday so really ought to crack on with tidying up, but feel tired so now ds has gone to sleep i will too( am 30weeks pg)

35 weeks and can't stand mess or dirt. I've been trying to declutter A but DH just doesn't get it. I get the rage when I see stuff lying around Blush

normally, I'm comfortable with clutter and mess!

I can't stand mess on a normal day but since falling pregnant I have become a maniac. I have suddenly had an overwhelming need to throw out 'stuff.' And this time I have been ruthless - 9 bags of clothes, 30 ornament type items/unwanted gifts and tat. My partner can't stop me throwing stuff out. The council are coming tomorrow for my 'bulky item' removal request and are carting of a 2 seater sofa and a chair. By the time my partner gets home on Friday (he works away) he'll be lucky if there is a bed to sleep in. I can't stand 'stuff' - makes me feel claustrophobic. Plus I lived in Japan and loved the minimalist feel of homes.
