Toddler just jumped on my bump - help!

My very big and heavy 2.5 year old jumped on my bump about an hour ago. He landed with most of his weight on one hand on the front of my bump. Baby moved around for a few minutes then and has kicked periodically since. I have an ache underneath at the bottom but otherwise feel fine. Do you think there is anything to worry about? He is just such so heavy and landed with such a thump! Thanks so much in advance.

My 2.5 yr old dd did a seat drop onto my tummy when pg with ds ( damn those trampolining sessions)

All was well.

Prob worth ringing hosp in case the want to give you anti d? I'm sure everything will be fine. My 20 m ds thinks my bump is a trampoline Smile

Baby is incredibly well-protected by you. Otherwise very few children would have siblings! Nothing to worry about, I'm sure. As ever, remain aware of the baby's movements, and if they concern you then call your midwife (or the labour ward - they will remain open over NYE and NYD Grin).

Happened to me too today! But my toddlers 8 so I went in for monitoring just to be sure Grin all was ok

sounds familiar, i get winded countless times each day but baby seems ok!

Happens all the time with my 20m old DS. I think baby is very protected and it's fine (although obviously I discourage it because its bloody sore!)

Thanks for the help. Smile Baby moving fine and no more pain so I have stopped panicking. I'm normally ninja-like in catching the toddler as he is prone to hurling himself on me but need to hone my skills I think!

Oh this happened to me when DD1 was 1, she never ever jumped anywhere but the one time she did it was on my bump! I went in to be monitored as it was a complicated pregnancy but baby was fine and turned 9 today Smile

Keep an eye on movements anyway and any pain that doesn't fade is worth a phone call to maternity IMO.

If it helps yesterday I fell out of the car with my 20m ds in my arms, went splat in the pavement, in the rain, bruised my knee/elbow and hipBlushBlushBlush am in hosp now (planned admission for steroids, unrelated) and they don't seem too bothered!! I think I need an octonaughts plaster for my knee tho!!
