Sharp shooting pain in one side of pelvis

Is this normal? I'm nearly 7 weeks and I know it's not ectopic because I've already had a scan. I keep getting very sharp pains in my left pelvis, lasting a couple of seconds but really uncomfortable.

Most likely ligaments stretching. For me a regular occurrence in pregnancies.

I had quite bit of pain in the area around where my ovaries are in the early weeks. Not sure if it was my ovaries or as the poster above said, ligaments stretching but it was really sore for a few seconds and then away again. Pregnancy is full of random aches and pains as I'm finding out! (22 weeks atm)

Thanks ladies. Pregnancy so far for me has been full of 'surprises'.

Could also be the corpus luteum...I had this too and was worried so I asked my midwife... The leftover folicle that the fertilized egg came from becomes the corpus luteum and that pumps hormones out to sustain your pregnancy till the placenta takes over. It can cause twinging pain on one side (the side you ovulated from the month you conceived).
