Afternoon all. A little background on me... I'm 27 and in 2011 I had a beautiful baby girl. She died at 9 days old due to prem complications. Amélie was born 10weeks early by emergency c-section because I had severe pre-eclampsia, followed by severe HELLP syndrome.
It was missed by my MW and GP until I took myself to the hospital to insist I was not well. Even there, they told me that I would be sent home but will do tests to put my mind at rest. Once the results were in they told me that I wasn't going anywhere and Amélie arrived 4 days later.
I had reasonably high bp from the start, but it was the headaches, feeling swollen (I didn't look overly swollen - though now I look at photos its obvious) and gaining 1stone in a week and indescribable tiredness that alerted me. My GP though lung clot - he sent me to the hospital who said virus. Not convinced I phoned maternity to beg to be seen and they told me to head there.
I'm now 14weeks into my second pregnancy and am obviously terrified. My BP has been too bad, but has fluctuated a great deal. My morning sickness had settled about 4 weeks ago and I felt extremely well. However for the last week, the headaches are here and are incapacitating at times. I'm feeling constantly sick. This morning I woke up with swollen hands (which has got worse throughout the day) and puffy eyes, chest pain and that extraordinary tiredness is back.
I had a planned consultant appointment yesterday and she wasn't at all worried about the symptoms I presented to her.
I'm absolutely terrified. I know it's rare to get PET this early but my experience with Amélie has me worrying about the worst.
I ache so much with this swelling. Spent most of today in bed :(
Sorry for such a long post... Thank you to anyone that reads this x
