28 weeks pregnant, ever growing bump but I took on the razor and braved my legs and bikini line Grin

The razor won the battle though as I now have various nicks and cuts up and down my legs Grin

I don't even dare look at my lady parts - I just went in blind, guessed what I was doing and hoped for the best Grin I'm pretty sure I have some bald patches Grin

It had to be done though - I need to feel a little bit trimmed and glamorous just to cheer myself up Smile

Apparently when my mum was pg, she asked my dad to shave her legs for her!

Writerwannabe83 · 30/12/2013 21:47

I casually mentioned that idea to my DH a few weeks ago, he didn't look too impressed! I don't think I'd trust him anyway.... Grin

VJONES1985 · 30/12/2013 21:50

Ha ha, I

VJONES1985 · 30/12/2013 21:51

Bloody hell! I don't have to worry about that yet as only 6 weeks. Feeling quite anxious about it, with all the first trimester horror stories.

PenguinsDontEatStollen · 30/12/2013 21:52

I have managed my legs right up to 41 weeks both times VJones.

My bikini line only gets a very minor tidy up at the best of times so I leave well alone once I can't reach it.

terilou87 · 30/12/2013 21:54

Haha. Did mine yesterday, I'm 38 weeks god knows what I looked like I had my leg over side of bath n bump angled the opposite way trying to see my floof dp says I didn't miss any!! n legs were not too bad but only did bottom half Grin

Crikeyblimey · 30/12/2013 21:54

I had mine waxed at 34 weeks!! Poor waxing woman was creeping round the floor as I had to stand up for her to do the backs of my legs :)

VJONES1985 · 30/12/2013 21:54

I'm only going as far as 38 weeks (being induced due to T1 diabetes) so perhaps I will still be able to shave!

Mummyk1982 · 30/12/2013 21:55

Did my legs last week, will probably attempt again next week. As for bikini line, hubby has been doing it for me for last few months- can not see a thing down there!!! :-)

Writerwannabe83 · 30/12/2013 21:56

terilou - I was trying to force my bump to one side in order to try and get at least a semi-view of what I was doing - it didn't work though Grin

haha this made me laugh! i carried on swimming to endof first pregnancy so had a modicum of self respect and got bikini line waxed. got gradually more painful due to increased blood flow, and apparently, hairier by the week!!!!

this time iv had the odd "blind shave", no idea what it looks like down there but im probably better not knowing....

Wuxiapian · 30/12/2013 22:26

I (somehow) managed to shave just before being induced at 42 weeks without too much trouble.

I'm now 31 weeks and I seem to be bigger than I was at 42 weeks! Can just about do legs, Lord knows what the rest looks like.

Anothermrssmith · 30/12/2013 23:12

I'm 28 and still manage to cut myself to shreds when shaving baby bump or no baby bump Blush

Have done my legs and bikini area twice in the last two weeks as expected to be having internal examinations (37 weeks, being induced at 38 so consultant wanted to see what was happening), just about managed with a decent sized hand mirror though I did find myself wishing I had a full length one I could stand over to see properly! It was at the stage where I needed to shave everything to not be embarrassed about letting my husband down there to do it for me lol!

Mabelandrose · 31/12/2013 12:43

Haha waxing is the way!

WeeJo08 · 31/12/2013 12:52

Last time I booked in to have my bikini line done 10 days before my due date & fretted that it would be untidy if I went overdue. I needn't have worried...I went into labour the same day as the wax. Pretty sure I looked like a plucked chicken to the midwife and (under the influence of gas & air) told one of the doctors that beauticians should provide gas & air for women getting Brazilians done...Shock

Writerwannabe83 · 31/12/2013 13:11

I just couldn't bring myself to get waxed, lol - I know the beauticians will have 'seen it all before' but I think I'd just die of embarrassment!! It's bad enough when medical needs mean doctors/nurses are fiddling about between my legs but I force myself to grin and bear it - quite literally. I don't think I could go throughout the embarrassment for purely cosmetic reasons though, lol Grin

Being induced next week so I am planning a mammoth waxing session over the weekend. I am doubting it will be comfortable or pretty!

Tea1Sugar · 31/12/2013 14:58

24 weeks, can still do legs fine, foof gets a monthly wax and will until the end!

theborrower · 31/12/2013 15:04

Managed to shave my legs and bikini line until the end last time. However, I don't think I managed a wee trim down there after about 6 months. I would never ask DH to do that though, so will just have to be a bit, ahem, bushy.
