Just wondered if anyone else has had similar low abdominal pains right under their bump around 35 week mark? Is this normal? It's my first baby and they go away and come back maybe 3 or 4 times in a day haven't had any back ache but they have been going on a about a week now! Baby is kicking/active like normal. Seeing my midwife next Monday anyway. :)

Hi Steffy I'm 35+2 and have also been experiencing niggling pains as well as period like cramps. It's been going on for about a week now and doesn't seem to be getting worse so am just thinking it's our bodies preparing us for labour. Mentioning it to your midwife but I'm sure all is fine :)

Thanks I'm probably over thinking it as I don't know what labour feels like lol! Will talk to my midwife =)

In my experience thats just normal. I don't think its any indication at all that baby will come early. Aches, pains, braxton hicks... I had it all. then baby came at 41 weeks.

I've been getting these (35+6) for a few days, really uncomfortable and sometimes have to stop what i'm doing. This is my second pregnancy and a couple of times i've thought could they be contractions but i know they are just bracton hicks. Although they are regular they stop or lessen in intensity if i change position (standing to sitting).

I would mention it to your midwife when you see them.
